DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK, WE HAVE CEASED ACTIVITY FOR THE TIME BEING. PLEASE STAY SAFE AND TAKE CARE DURING THIS  DIFFICULT TIME

The Gorse Bush occupies the Old Village Hall in the village of Kinlochewe in Wester Ross. Situated on the North Coast 500 route, the Gorse Bush offers local produce cooked with love and skill, in a relaxed and informal setting.

The restaurant takes its name from the ubiquitous gorse plants that cover the landscape. They are hardy, perennial and beautiful: with flowers which are not just pretty, but edible - delicious in both salads and desserts.

We are proud to make the most of the fantastic produce local to the area, whether that be langoustines (just called prawns hereabouts) and scallops, fish, or game from the local hills. We work with a number of local crofters to get the best and freshest organic eggs, fruit and vegetables. The produce in the North-West of Scotland is among the best of its type anywhere, and we are proud to work with it and showcase its quality.

We serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and home-made scones daily, with a menu that changes to reflect the best of what's available. We are a small restaurant with a small kitchen, and we focus on delivering a small menu of good things done to a high standard. Quality and consistency are paramount and by keeping a small selection, we can be sure that we keep our standards high. We love our meat, game and fish but do strive to keep a substantial portion of our menu vegetarian-friendly, with vegan and allergen-free options also available. For severe allergies or unusual dietary restrictions, please give us as much notice as possible - we will do our utmost to accommodate you.
